Scrutineering, briefing, entering the track
When you attend a track day there are some things you can do to make the day flow smoothly and thus maximise your time on the track. You will see signs dotted about the track in strategic positions advising you what you should do next. Of course seasoned track day attendees will be floating about to help you out but it pays to be pro-active. The signs are available here for download.
It is recommended that you download and review them before you attend a track day.
