Supersprint Rnd.3 2011
Round 3 of the Club's Supersprint Championship saw a typical Goulburn winter's day, clear, windy and bitterly cold!
A great field of 55 cars warmed things up though with a good range of cars doing battle. Notable new cars were a return of Andrew Schmidt in a beautifully prepared E30 M3 turbo and father and daughter team of Paul and Rebecca Giles in another two E30 M3's. The four E30 racing cars from Canberra were doing their last run before they do their first race with Improved Production on June 18/19 at Eastern Creek. It was good to see young Matthew Boyd do his first day in dad's E30R after successfully doing the Marulan Driver Training day earlier in the year.
Despite the cold conditions which tortured the slick tyre runners there were quite a number of PB's as cars made good power. The Fastest time of the day belonged to Martin Higgins in his E36 M3 Turbo with 1:03.1 before his clutch let go.
