Supersprint Rnd.5 Wakefield Park (SS.5)

13 August 2022 at 7.30am

GREAT NEWS FOR US. Following the Land and Environment Court decision on 13 July, we have been working with Wakefield Park for our Supersprint Round 5 at Wakefield Park on 13 August. Wakefield Park has informed us that we are ok as one of the very few to be able to run on this circuit in August

If you have Covid-19 symptoms, get tested, stay isolated and don’t come to this event.

After the pandemic holidays since 2019, we are all looking forward for our opportunity to return to one of our favorite circuits, Wakefield Park. Registration was full by 25 July. Registration was limited to members of BMWDCNSW and members of official BMW Clubs Australia clubs CQ, CGC, CCC, DCM, CCV, CCB, DCSA and CWA.

All drivers must have a Motorsport Australia Speed Licence and all cars must pass the Motorsport Australia / BMWDCNSW Scrutiny Check.

Registration Cost: Early, $270 13/07/2022 to 1/08/2022 Late: $310 2/08/2022 to 9/08/2022 Registration closed when the field was full and there is a waiting list.

Read the Supp. Regs., and Driver Information. There will (possibly) be a quiz.
Download the Disclaimer, read it, agree with it, sign it and bring it with you to the Sign-on Desk on the day.
Download the Scrutineer / Compliance form, read it, agree with it, use it to check your car, when you comply and are sure that the car will pass scrutiny, sign the form and bring it with you to the Scrutineers on the day.

All competitors who enter BMW Drivers Club NSW Supersprints must submit a BMW Drivers Club NSW 2022 Annex-C form for their car. This is the requirement for the first event that you enter for the year and again whenever a Class-changing modification is completed on your car. If you have not submitted your Annex-C form for this year then download it, complete it with your car’s base points and modification status so that your vehicle Class can be correctly established, sign it and email it to .

At the track from 7:30AM, line up, with Covid distancing, at the Sign-on desk. Hand in your Disclaimer, receive your driver's wrist band and starting grid place. You may possibly be able to purchase some car numbers at $2 each and a battery triangle $1.
Ready your car at the Scrutiny Bay. Contrasting car numbers on both sides of your car, battery triangles and all the other Scrutiny requirements. Hand your Scrutiny/Compliance form to the Scrutineer, have your car checked and if ok a Pass sticker will be fitted. No PASS sticker no entry to the track.
Attend Driver Briefing at the Tower at 8:45AM. Sign the Briefing Attendance Sheet.
Familiarisation laps for those new to this circuit at 9:00AM then Supersprinting after that for the rest of the day.

All cars competing in our events must have a number on both sides. The number must comply with the Motorsport Australia Schedule K – Markings on Automobiles and can be 1, 2 or 3 digits only. We are moving away from having car numbers for sale at events. We have limited stock of numbers and will not be purchasing any more. We have in stock
Black: 1 x 16, 2 x 5, 3 x 4, 4 x 21, 5 x 16, 6 x 2, 7 x 12, 8 x 10, 9 x12, 0 x 29
White: 1 x 0, 2 x 0, 3 x 0, 4 x10, 5 x 6, 6 x 14, 7 x 11, 8 x17, 9 x 9, 0 x 43
These digits will be for sale at Wakefield Park at $2 each and that will be the end of us supplying digits

We expect all drivers to select a car number and include that on their Registration for Supersprint Rnd.5. Many regular drivers have their own car numbers and those are being held for those drivers. Example my car number is 67 and that number is on my car. Tough luck for anyone else, who wants 67. You can see on the Results Sheets for rounds 1 thru 4 and Points Table for 2022 the regular numbers that drivers are using. For everyone else, please select a number that does not appear to be commonly used and we will attempt to give you that number for Wakefield Park and that will then be your car number for the rest of this year and as long as you keep using it into the future. If you don't use your Car Number for 2 years then it becomes available for someone else. We currently have 60 cars registered for SS.5 and here are the numbers issued.
1 5 6 7 8 9 11 13 14 15 17 18 19 21 23 24 30 32 33 36 42 44 45 47 49

111 117 151 152 154 199 303 307 379 463 505 737 790 815

Appropriate digits in both black and white are available from suppliers like Revolution Racegear or your local sign company. Make sure you use digits of black or white contrasting with your car’s colour.
Similar problem with Battery Triangles. All cars must have a blue 150mm on a side equilateral triangle and on a white background if your car is blue. There will be some triangles available at Wakefield Park for $1 and that will be the end of our supply. You can get your battery triangle from the same source as the digits or use blue plastic contact adhesive sheet and make your own.
We expect that all drivers will be able to comply with these marking requirements and there will be no bits of sticky tape. Numbers must be able to be read by Flag Marshals that you pass at possibly up to 200KMPH or more.

Cost: $ 270.00

Registration for this event has now closed. We look forward to welcoming you to another event.
