This is our 3rd Driver Experience Day for 2023.  A full day at Amaroo Circuit

Motorsport Australia Permit No. 223/2201/08

If you have never driven your BMW on a car race circuit then this is your opportunity.  All BMWs, from family sedans, SUVs and even M car racers work very well on the race circuit and you will pick up valuable driving skills with one of our Supersprint experts as your instructor.

Amaroo is the 1.8 KMs, challenging, south circuit at Sydney Motorsport Park named after the Amaroo Park Circuit at Annangrove that turned into a housing estate after the last race on 23 Aug 1998.

We run this event under a Motorsport Australia Permit.  All drivers must have at least a Motorsport Australia Speed Licence or there will be one day Introductory Licences for sale on the day at $25.  Members of Motorsport Affiliated Clubs can take out a Motorsport Australia Speed Licence.   Even juniors from 14 years of age can experience driving on this circuit on a Motorsport Australia Junior licence.  As a non-timed, no competition, Driver Experience, Come & Try, day you can drive your road registered daily driver BMW or your race prepared track car.  Drivers can take passengers.  Those passengers are usually our expert Driving Instructors but we also have parents taking their juniors for driving lessons.

There will be four separate groups.  A fast group for experience track drivers, a not as fast group for drivers to gain track experience, a normal speed group for new drivers to the track and a beginners group with juniors from 14 years of age.  The beginners group is a great place to introduce car control to your family member.  You select the group that best fits your driving and as the day progresses you can swap groups to best get the Driving Experience that you want.  We will limit numbers in each group with a maximum of 15.

Register now.  Read the Supp. Regs., they describe the day in detail. Download the Disclaimer,  Compliance and Passenger Ride forms, read them sign them and bring them with you to the sign-on desk.  Download the appropriate Scrutiny form;  if you are brining your TfNSW registered road car, or your BMW Track car and use that form to check your car, sign the form and bring it with you to Scrutineering.  For road registered cars there is no requirement for Fire Extinguishers. All drivers and passengers must wear an approved helmet to ay least Australian Standard AS1698 and hon-synthetic apparel neck to wrist to ankles and non-synthetic shoes.  Passengers are to complete a Passenger Ride form and submit it to the Sign-on Desk.

So that Track Control and the Flag Marshals can identify cars, all cars must have a car number on both sides of the car.  On the registration form, you select the 2 or 3 digit number that you want to use and that's your car number for the day unless someone else already has that number.  In that case you will receive and email arranging an alternate number.  Number digits are available for purchase at the Sign-on desk $3 each. Numbers are 230mm high and need to be able to be read by the Flag Marshals as you go past at speed.  We do not accept numbers made out of bits of sticky tape.
